Please sign up to join our new Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that will be starting to meet in the fall of 2024 to focus on some other areas of of our work:
NEW Sickle Cell SIG - was initiated to gather experts interested in using immersive technology to find impactful solutions for pediatric patients with sickle cell disease, stemming from Invincikids conversations with a variety of researchers and clinicians from Children's Health Dallas, Johns Hopkins - All Children's, Doctors Without Borders, Yale Medical, New York Presbyterian, and Children's Hospital Los Angeles. NEW Youth Mental Wellness and Resiliency SIG - brings together clinical leaders, researchers, and youth-focused professionals committed to advancing pediatric mental wellness through immersive technology. This collaborative group is dedicated to sharing best practices, exploring emerging research, and co-developing strategies that help young people build emotional regulation, manage stress, and strengthen resilience in both medical and community settings.

NEW XR Clinical Adoption SIG - is focused on how XR is being used in different settings and to create a community of support for clinicians that are using immersive technology in their clinical workflows. NEW XR Software Development SIG - is focused on developing immersive experiences specifically focused on use cases in pediatric settings. This group would also look at how to encourage the development of software for global settings that could Leverage mobile XR to be used in developing countries.
